The core is the central focus of movement in the body and influences balance, mobility, coordination and strength. This class focuses on improving function in each of these areas. Exercises are performed at a slow controlled pace with focus on proper execution and body alignment to strengthen deep core muscles, stretch superficial muscles, stabilize joints, create symmetry and balance. Each class provides a non-impact core workout to increase mind-body awareness, while challenging the back, abdominal and hips. Bosus, bands and balls are all used to challenge stability, while adding resistance to tone muscles. A class designed for all levels, beginner to advanced.
Students with spinal issues should obtain approval from their doctor before attending class.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring water for proper hydration.
